Man, 50, taken to hospital with head injuries

A 50-year-old man has been taken to hospital with severe head injuries, police have said.

He was found close to steps outside a property in the Queen's Crescent area of Carnmoney, County Antrim in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Police are trying to determine how the man sustained the injuries.

They have asked anyone who witnessed unusual activity in the area or has information to come forward.

In Lurgan two men, aged 20 and 43, have been arrested after a 17-year-old boy was attacked as he made his way back to his car.

The assault happened at 2230 BST on Saturday in Carrick Drive. The boy was treated in hospital, but his injuries are not life threatening.
