Police investigating the attempted murder of a man in Poleglass on Monday night have renewed their appeal for witnesses.

A man armed with a sawn-off shotgun shot James Bingham, 35, in the neck as he answered his door to two men.

It happened at around 2030 BST in Glenbawn Link.

The victim has since been discharged from Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast.

Detectives are keen to speak to anyone who can help trace the movements of a green Volkswagen Passat taxi (XIW 3552) which they believe was used by the gunmen.

It is thought the vehicle travelled in the Mount Eagles Mews and Twinbrook Road areas between 2000 BST and 2100 BST on Monday night.

A 56-year-old man arrested in connection with the shooting was released on bail on Wednesday pending further enquiries.
