Fighting breaks out between relatives at Derry inquest
An inquest into the death of a Londonderry mother-of-three has been disrupted after fighting broke out between the dead woman's relatives.
The coroner found that 31-year-old Charmaine Houston, from Cornshell Fields, died after taking Esctasty tablets at New Year.
There was an exchange of words as some relatives left the coroner's court on Friday morning, and punches were thrown.
Security was called and order restored.
Witnesses told the coroner, Suzanne Anderson, that Ms Houston had been to a party on New Year's Eve.
She had been drinking all day, and went to the home of two cousins, who also lived in Cornshell Fields, where she took the drugs.
Ms Houston later collapsed, and despite attempts to resuscitate her, never recovered.
She was taken to hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The coroner said the case highlighted the grave dangers of taking Ecstasy, and said three more children had been left without a mother because of drugs.
