The funeral of veteran broadcaster David Dunseith has taken place in County Down.

The former BBC Radio Talkback presenter died last Thursday after a short battle with cancer.

Mass was held at the Star of the Sea Church in Strangford followed by a service at Roselawn Crematorium.

Mr Dunseith's distinguished career spanned four decades before he retired earlier this year.

Deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness was one of several politicians who attended the funeral.

Dozens of broadcasting colleagues past and present were in the congregation for the service.

Director of BBC Northern Ireland Peter Johnston said Mr Dunseith would be sadly missed by colleagues and listeners alike.
