Car removed after Glengormley security alert

Army bomb experts carried out a number of controlled explosions during a security alert in Glengormley, County Antrim.

The alert has now ended. A car which sparked it has been removed for forensic examination.

Police said at this stage they believe that the vehicle had been stolen.

Homes in Hillview Drive and Linview Mews were evacuated during the alert and the Ballyclare Road was closed near the entrance to Glengormley Park.

On Monday, a pipe bomb was found during a security alert in the Harmin Park area of Glengormley.
