Five suffer slash wounds in dispute at Oxegen festival

A 19-year-old man from County Tyrone is being treated in hospital for slash wounds he suffered during a row at the Oxegen music festival at Punchestown Racecourse, County Kildare.

He was taken to Tallaght General Hospital in Dublin after the incident in the blue campsite at the event.

It happened shortly after 0400 BST.

Four other men, who are all in the late teens, had their injuries treated on site. Three of them are from County Londonderry.

The families of all the injured men have been notified.

No arrests have yet been made.

Thousands of people are attending the three day festival which will be headlined by Beyonce on Sunday night.
