Coastal communities across Northern Ireland will be entitled to apply for funding as a result of a new scheme announced by the government.

The Coastal Communities Fund aims to help the economic development of coastal areas across the UK.

Groups and charities across Northern Ireland will be entitled to apply for their share of around £500,000.

The scheme is being administered by the Big Lottery Fund.
