DUP's Lee Reynolds to get Belfast council seat

The DUP has appointed Lee Reynolds as the new councillor for the Castle ward in Belfast.

Mr Reynolds has been working at Stormont as a party strategist.

He is a former member of the UUP and challenged Jim Molyneaux for the leadership of that party in 1995.

Mr Reynolds stood for the council election in May, but failed to get elected. He takes over from Ian Crozier who is the new chief executive of the Ulster Scots Agency.
