Cash stolen during armed robbery in Cullybackey

A business in Cullybackey, County Antrim, has been targeted in an armed robbery.

At 1910 BST on Thursday, it was reported that a man with a weapon entered the premises in the Main Street area and demanded money.

He then made off with a sum of cash while a second man remained at the door of the premises.

It is believed the two men escaped in a silver vehicle which was parked nearby.

No-one was injured during the incident, however a member of staff was left badly shaken.

Police have appealed for information and are keen to speak to a couple on the Shellinghill Road who they believe may have witnessed the incident.
