Ardoyne riots: two more charged brings total to 23

Two more men have been charged with involvement in rioting in north Belfast on 12 July.

It brings to 23 the number of people charged in relation to the disorder in Ardoyne over the Twelfth of July holidays.

Both men are due to appear at Belfast Magistrates' court on Saturday morning.

So far, 27 people have been arrested by police investigating the rioting in north Belfast earlier this month .

Of those, 19 adults have been, or will be, charged at Belfast Magistrates' court and another four appeared at Belfast Youth Court.

Officers were attacked with petrol and paint bombs during three nights of rioting starting on 11 July.

Police responded with water cannon and baton rounds in a bid to quell the disorder.

Meanwhile, detectives investigating rioting in east Belfast on 12 July have arrested a 15 year old boy. He is expected to appear at Belfast Youth Court on Saturday morning.
