A County Down man who has been on-the-run since failing to appear for a drugs-related trial in 2004 has been remanded back into custody.

A judge at Belfast Crown Court was told that Harold McCullough, 36, was arrested by police on the outskirts of Hillsborough on Tuesday night.

Mr McCullough is originally from the Ballywalter area.

He initially claimed he was Michael Wallace from Bangor but admitted his true identity when challenged.

He declined an opportunity to apply for bail and will appear in court again in September.
