McCann Newsagents wins civil service newspaper contract

A Belfast newsagents has won a major six-figure contract to supply the civil service with newspapers.

McCann Newsagents Limited, based on the Holywood Road, won the contract which is worth £344,650.80 and will run for three years.

The company, run by Alexander McCann, is understood to have been the sole competitor for the tender.

The contract process is run by the Central Procurement Directorate, a division of the Department of Finance.
