Portadown man in court over having 12 guns

A man has appeared in court charged with 18 offences including the possession of 12 guns, ammunition and counterfeit currency worth £2,500.

William Andrews, 58, of the Green, in Portadown has been released on bail.

He denies charges of possessing counterfeit currency and criminal damage.

Part of his bail conditions include a ban on him going to car boot sales where it is understood he bought some of the guns.

The weapons were seized in Craigavon and Portadown on Wednesday.
