West Belfast shooting: Guns and machetes found

Guns, ammunition and machetes have been found as police investigate an attempted murder on the outskirts of west Belfast.

A 14-year-old boy and 49-year-old man are being questioned by police following the searches in Lagmore on Tuesday.

Four masked men burst into the victim's home in Hazel View on Monday afternoon and shot him in the ankle.

Police searched houses and vehicles in nearby White Rise on Tuesday.

After finding guns and ammunition, two homes were evacuated as a precaution while further searches took place.

Police then found other weapons, including machetes and knives.

Two vans were taken away for further forensic examination.
