Man injured in Falls Road machete attack

A man has been taken to hospital after he was attacked with a machete in west Belfast.

The attack, at about 1600 BST on Tuesday, happened on the Falls Road.

It is understood the 33-year-old victim suffered a wound to his arm. His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

Police have appealed for anyone with information to contact them as soon as possible.
