Ballyclare police murder bid suspect released on bail

A 30-year-old man arrested on suspicion of attempting to murder police officers in Ballyclare has been released on police bail.

There was serious disorder in the town after police officers removed loyalist flags on 9 July.

The man was arrested in the town on Thursday morning.

He was being questioned in relation to the ramming of a police vehicle with a hijacked bus during the rioting.
