Man, 21, in court after Lurgan gang rape

A 21-year-old Lithuanian man has appeared in court in Craigavon charged with repeatedly raping a Lithuanian woman in Lurgan last month.

Darius Porcikas, of Kernan Hill Manor in Portadown, is also accused of trying to kill a 23-year-old man on 13 July.

He has also been accused of imprisoning the man and woman against their will at a house in Dingwell Park.

Mr Porcikas was remanded in custody and is due to appear in court again next month.

It has been alleged that a 26-year-old woman was repeatedly raped by three men over a 12 hour period on 13 July.

Last month, a 33-year-old woman, who is originally from Lithuania, appeared at court in Lisburn accused of lying to police and helping her boyfriend to avoid arrest.
