Thousands of members of the Royal Black Institution have taken part in parades across Northern Ireland.

More than 15,000 members of the institution's preceptories joined marches at a series of locations across Northern Ireland.

Parades were in Antrim, Ballygawley, Comber, Donemana, Limavady.

The largest march was in Newry, where more than 200 preceptories and bands were on parade. It was the first demonstration in the city for 13 years.

The last Saturday in August is traditionally the most important day in the Royal Black Institution's year.
