Tyrone estate manager's funeral held

The funeral of the manager of Lord Caledon's private country estate has taken place on Friday.

Father-of-two Keith Willis is believed to have been hit by a tree which was being cut down on Wednesday.

Mr Willis, who was married with two daughters, had worked on the 5,000 acre estate since leaving school.

Health and safety officials are investigating the accident on the estate on the outskirts of the Tyrone village of Caledon.

Ulster Unionist councillor Jim Hamilton, a close friend of Mr Willis, said the local community was in shock.

"He was Lord Caledon's right hand man. Everyone is just devastated," Mr Hamilton said.

"Keith Willis was so much part of village life. He was involved in everything - everything from organising the children's Christmas parties and street lights to helping out with the regeneration of the place."
