Four charged after stabbing in north Belfast

Two men and two women have been charged with attempted murder after a 19-year-old man was stabbed in north Belfast earlier this week.

The victim remains in a stable condition at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast following the incident on Thursday night.

Police said two men aged 21 and 19 and two women both aged 19 have been charged with attempted murder.

The men are due to appear before Belfast Magistrates' Court on Monday.

The two women are expected to appear at the same court on Friday, 30 September.

The 19-year-old man faces an additional charge of possession of an offensive weapon.

The 21-year-old man has been charged with two counts of assaulting police and possession of an offensive weapon.

One of the 19-year-old women has been charged with assaulting police.
