Man in court on gun and drugs charges after Belfast raids

A man has appeared in court charged with gun and drugs offences following police raids in north Belfast and Newtownabbey on Friday.

Stephen Greer, 31, is accused of possessing a Baretta hand gun and ammunition in suspicious circumstances.

Mr Greer, of Mountcollyer Avenue, Belfast, is also charged with having cocaine and ecstasy with intent to supply.

He is further alleged to have unlawfully supplied cannabis.

Mr Greer was remanded in custody after appearing before Belfast Magistrates' Court on Monday.

Another two men, aged 30 and 42, are due in court on drugs charges later this month.
