Derry man charged with stealing £43,000 from Travelex

A 23-year-old man has appeared at Londonderry Magistrates' Court charged with stealing more than £43,000 from his employer.

Dean Andrew Nutt from Hazelbank Drive in the Waterside is alleged to have stolen £43,284 from Travelex on 23 July.

A defence solicitor said the defendant had not yet been formally dismissed by his employer.

He is currently undergoing disciplinary proceedings.

As part of his bail conditions, Mr Nutt has been ordered not to contact any employee of Travelex or Tesco at Lisnagelvin Shopping Centre.

He has also been ordered not to enter any bookmakers' premises and not to engage in any gambling activities.
