Karen Coyles search: Police in new appeal to joggers

Police have issued a new appeal for information about missing Ballycastle woman Karen Coyles.

Ms Coyles, 47, has not been seen since the night of Sunday, 11 September.

Her car was found outside the camogie club in Ballycastle at about 07:45 BST the following day.

Police want anyone who was jogging, or saw anyone else jogging, along the Clare Road or Whitepark Road in Ballycastle between 06:00 and 6:30 BST on the Monday to contact them.

Ms Coyles 47, is chairperson of the Ballycastle Camogie Club and had just returned from Dublin where she and her team had been playing a match.

She had captained the winning team in the all-Ireland camogie sevens tournament.

Ms Coyles works in the Biomedical Sciences Research Institute at the University of Ulster in Coleraine.

Her friends and relatives first realised there was something wrong when she did not turn up for work on 12 September.

Police, the coastguard, dive teams and the local community have been searching for her since.
