Police appeal over man's body found in river

Police investigating the sudden death of a 48-year-old man found in the Sixmilewater river in Antrim are appealing for information.

They particularly want to speak to a man seen sitting talking to him on a bench by the riverside at around 11:00 BST on Tuesday.

The man's body was discovered by a member of the public at about 12:40 BST on Tuesday. A crime is not suspected.

Police appealed to anyone who may have seen the man who died to contact them.
