Residents of a nursing home in Armagh had to be moved to safety in the early hours of Friday morning after a fire.

Twenty-seven people were moved from the home on the Keady Road while the fire service dealt with the incident.

Several of the residents and 10 police officers were treated for the effects of breathing in smoke.

The fire is not being treated as suspicious and residents are now back in the home.
