South Belfast rape accused remanded in custody
A man has been remanded in custody charged with raping a woman in Belfast.
Omar Saadi is accused of carrying out the sexual assault in the south of the city last Thursday.
The 38-year-old, of Donegall Road, Belfast, appeared before the city's magistrates' court after being charged by police.
No application for bail was made during the short hearing at which he was connected to the alleged offence.
Mr Saadi is to appear again by video-link on 28 October.
