A bomb has been thrown through the window of a house in Broadford, County Kildare.

The attack happened at about 22:50 BST on Thursday. The bomb failed to explode.

Irish police evacuating the house and two neighbouring ones. An Irish Army bomb disposal team then removed the device.

A number of people were in the house at the time but no-one was injured. Police have appealed for witnesses.
