The death of a Donegal teenager in Londonderry at the weekend is no longer being treated as a crime by police.

It is believed that Caolan Page died as a result of an accident with no one else involved.

The 19-year-old, from Upper Kildrum in Carrigans, County Donegal, was discovered in Magazine Street on Saturday with serious head injuries.

His funeral took place on Friday in the Church of the Assumption in Thornhill in Derry.

Mr Page was an A-level student at St Columb's College in Derry and had wanted to become a vet.

It is understood he had gone out with friends on Friday night and had become separated from them.

After he was found he was taken to Altnagelvin Hospital, but he later died.

Police studied extensive CCTV footage from the area in which Mr Page was found as part of their investigation into his death.
