Man badly beaten in 'vicious' Bangor attack

A 33-year-old man has been attacked at a bar in Bangor, County Down.

The assault, which police have described as "vicious", took place at Betty Black's in High Street at about 00:30 BST on Sunday.

The man received a number of injuries to his body and face and required stitches to an ear wound. His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

Two men were arrested shortly after the incident and have been released on bail pending further inquiries.

Police are studying CCTV images of the incident in order to identify those involved.

They have appealed for information.
