Man held over £130,000 Monkstown drug haul

A 48-year-old man has been arrested following the seizure of drugs with an estimated street value of £130,000 in Newtownabbey on Wednesday.

A police spokesperson said that they searched a house in Monkstown as a result of a long-running investigation.

The drugs included cannabis resin, ecstasy and cocaine. A quantity of cash was also recovered.

Detective Chief Inspector Colin Gillis said police would continue to create a hostile environment for drug dealers.
