Scottish man accused of imprisoning Limavady family

A Scottish man has appeared in Londonderry Magistrates' Court charged with falsely imprisoning a couple and their teenage son.

Robert Fleming, 21, whose address was given as no fixed abode in Limavady, was remanded in custody.

Mr Fleming is alleged to have held the family against their will at Greystone Park, Limavady on Saturday morning.

He is also accused of threatening to kill and possessing an offensive weapon.

He faces further charges of cruelty to a pet dog and possession of class A and B drugs.

There was no application for bail and the defendant was remanded in custody until next Monday when a video link bail application is expected to be made.
