House and shed break-in accused remanded in custody
An alleged burglar was remanded in custody on Saturday accused of breaking into a house and a garden shed in south Belfast.
David Hawthorn McCamley from Templemore Street in Belfast was charged with two counts of burglary at Belfast Magistrates' Court.
The house and shed at Marlborough Park Central were allegedly burgled early on Friday.
Police feared the 23-year-old man would reoffend if released.
A detective told the court he believed he could connect Mr McCamley to the charges.
He said police received a report of the alleged burglary from the householder at about 05:22 GMT who said he spotted a man hobbling away from the house, adding that within a short time, officers had arrested a limping Mr McCamley nearby.
Mr McCamley was remanding into custody and is due to appear again on 16 December.
