Man held over suspect petrol bomb attack in County Mayo.

A man has been arrested in the Republic of Ireland following what is believed to have been a petrol bomb attack in County Mayo.

Irish police said the man went into Castlebar Garda Station at about 04:00 GMT on Sunday.

He threw what police believe was a petrol bomb into the public office.

Two policemen were on duty. The emergency services were called. No-one was injured.

The man was arrested a short distance from the scene.
