Driver struck during van robbery in west Belfast

A security van driver has been hit on the back of the head during a robbery in west Belfast.

A cash box was stolen by two men from a cash-in-transit van on the Falls Road at about 09:45 GMT on Saturday.

The van driver was wearing a helmet when he was attacked.

The robbers made off in a green Nissan Primera car in the direction of Anderson Park. It was later recovered in the Navan Green area.
