Ryanair announces four new European routes from Knock Airport
Ryanair is introducing four new European destinations for passengers travelling from Knock Airport in County Mayo.
Flights to Barcelona (Girona), Frankfurt (Hahn), Milan (Bergamo) and Paris (Beauvais) will begin in March 2012.
It brings the number of Ryanair routes from Knock to the UK and Europe to 14.
Joe Gilmore, managing director of Knock Airport said providing direct access for tourists to the west of Ireland would boost tourism in this region.
Ryanair's Michael O'Leary said the airline would help sustain more than 500 jobs in Knock next summer.
Minister for Tourism and Sport, Michael Ring said the new routes would be a significant boost for Knock and for the connectivity of the western region as a whole.
