Man is tied-up and beaten in Crumlin aggravated burglary

A man has been tied-up and beaten with a hurling stick during an aggravated burglary in Crumlin.

Three men entered a house on the Diamond Road at about 03:00 GMT on Wednesday.

They tied and blindfolded the occupant before beating him around the head and feet. He raised the alarm over three hours later and was taken to hospital for his injuries.

The intruders ransacked the property for two hours but left empty-handed.

Police have appealed for anyone with information to contact them.
