Homeless man dies in Dublin cold weather

The death of a man in Dublin has been blamed on the cold weather.

The body, believed to be of a 30-year-old Latvian man, was discovered outside the Dominick Street flats in the city centre on Tuesday morning.

Local Independent Councillor Christy Burke said the man was one of three homeless Latvians who had been living in the area with sleeping bags and cardboard boxes for a number of months.

"Every year someone dies of hypothermia in Dublin city," Cllr Burke said.
