Police seek Newry hatchet robbery pair

Police in Newry are looking for two men believed to have carried out two armed robberies on Tuesday night.

Just after 20:30 GMT, two masked men - one armed with a hatchet - forced staff to hand over money from a off-licence on Newry's Forkhill Road.

At about 22:15 GMT, two men, again one carrying a hatchet, robbed a shop on Main Street in Forkhill stealing money and cigarettes.

No-one was injured in the robberies, but staff were left badly shaken.
