Burglars threaten pensioner with knife

An elderly man has been held down by a gang of three burglars who threatened him with a knife on Thursday night.

Money was taken in the robbery at Nettlehill Road, Lisburn, on Thursday. Police believe there is a link between that burglary and one in north Belfast.

Three men went into a house at Dunmore Drive, Skegoneill, at about 19:00 GMT on Thursday. They stole money.

One man was left badly shaken. In both robberies, the thieves escaped in a silver-coloured car.

Police have appealed for information.
