Youth shot and beaten with batons in Drumbeg, Craigavon

A 17-year-old boy has been shot and beaten with nail-spiked batons in Craigavon.

The attack was carried out by a group of men at a house in Drumbeg South and was reported to police at about 22:30 GMT on Monday.

The teenager suffered injuries to his head and body during the assault with the batons.

He was then shot twice in the arm and once in the leg. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Police have appealed for anyone who has information about the attack to contact them.
