Arrest after south Belfast armed robbery

Police have arrested a man following the armed robbery of a cash-in-transit van in south Belfast.

A man armed with a knife stole a cash box from the van on the Ormeau Road at around 11:15 GMT on Thursday.

It is not believed that anyone was injured during the incident.

A man believed to have been in his 30s was arrested a short time later. He is currently helping police with their enquiries.
