Car is destroyed in arson attack in Carrickfergus

A car has been set on fire in an arson attack in Carrickfergus, County Antrim.

At 05:50 GMT on Saturday, it was reported that a window in a Ford Focus car had been smashed before being set on fire.

The car was parked in the Craigs Close area of the town.

Police said the vehicle was destroyed as a result of the incident and have appealed for information.
