A man arrested over the murder of two police officers nearly 29 years ago has been released unconditionally.

The 53-year-old was arrested in Antrim as part of a renewed investigation into the murders of Sergeant Eric Brown, 41, and Constable Brian Quinn, 23,

They were shot dead by the IRA when police approached a suspicious car outside a post office in Rostrevor on 6 January 1983.
