Woman's car hijacked in John Street in Belfast

A woman has had her car hijacked in Belfast city centre.

She was parking her car in the John Street area at 07:30 GMT on Friday when a man wearing a hooded top opened the door of her car and ordered her to get out.

A struggle ensued and the woman got out.

The man then drove off in the car at high speed, turning left at the end of John Street. The woman was not injured.

It is the sixth hijacking in the Belfast area in the past 10 days.
