Two men have appeared in court following an armed robbery in County Tyrone on Saturday.

They are accused of robbing the Glen Service Station on the Ballygawley Road of £5700 in cash and cheques.

They are also accused of being armed with a firearm or imitation firearm.

Desmond John Joseph Hamill, 38, from Springdale Estate, Dungannon and 47-year-old Austin Creggan, of Parkview, Pomeroy, said nothing during the brief hearing.

They refused to stand during the proceedings and gave a thumbs up to the applause of supporters in the public gallery.

There was a large police presence around the courthouse in Enniskillen.

The two men were remanded in custody to appear before Dungannon Court on 8 February.
