Two more men charged over Philip Strickland murder

Two men are due to appear in court on Thursday in connection with the murder of Philip Strickland last week.

Mr Strickland, 36, was found shot dead in a car on Quarry Road near Comber on 11 January.

A 24-year-old man has been charged with murder and a 42-year-old man has been charged with attempting to pervert the course of justice.

On Wednesday, a woman appeared in court in connection with the killing.

Stacey McCaughey, 21, from Dullisk Way, was accused of perverting the course of justice and making a false statement.

She was released on bail to appear in court again on 20 February.

In total, seven people have now been charged in connection with the killing.
