A 28-year-old man arrested in connection with the discovery of the human remains of a woman in south Belfast last year has been released on police bail.

The remains of Julieann Watson, 37, were found among rubbish during the clearance of a house in Donegall Avenue last April.

A post-mortem examination revealed that her body may have been in the vacant property in Donegall Avenue for over a year.

The man was arrested in Carrickfergus earlier on Thursday.
