An air and sea search has resumed for a fisherman missing from a County Down registered boat.

The alarm was raised shortly before 13:00 GMT on Sunday when the man fell overboard, 19 miles east of the County Louth fishing village of Clogherhead.

The man, believed to be from the Ukraine, is in his 30's.

He is missing from the Zenith boat which is registered in Kilkeel.

The Republic's Naval Service patrol ship, the LE Ciara and the Dublin-based coastguard helicopter are assisting in the search, along with the Clogherhead lifeboat and a number of fishing vessels.
