Charges over Coalisland shooting

A man has been charged in connection with a shooting at a house in County Tyrone at the weekend.

The 35-year-old man was charged with criminal damage, possessing an offensive weapon, theft, assault occasioning actual bodily harm and carrying a firearm with intent.

Two men, two women and a child were in the house on Glen Road in Coalisland when two shots were fired at it.

A second man, arrested on Monday, remains in custody.

One man is expected to appear at Omagh Magistrates' Court on Tuesday.
