Arrest follows cash van robbery

A 24-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of theft after a cash-in-transit robbery in west Belfast on Saturday.

At about 12:55 GMT a man armed with a knife approached the vehicle outside a shop on the Falls Road.

It is believed that a cash box was taken during the incident. The female driver was uninjured, but left badly shaken.

Police apprehended the man at the back of Blackstaff Mill in the city.
